Creating your perfect Wedding or Civil Partnership
The advantages to a Celebrant-led wedding are many. You can have the ceremony where you want, when you want and include anything you want. You are at the heart of the ceremony and noone will ever have the same ceremony as you.
Although a Celebrant cannot perform the legal part of your wedding, this can be done a few days before at your Register Office. It costs around £60.00 and takes about 10 minutes. After that you are free to do as you choose.
Before we meet I will ask you to fill in a short questionnaire about you both, which gives you an opportunity to think about the kind of ceremony you would like, and reflect on what brought you to this moment.
At our meeting, which can either be at the venue, or at your home, we will talk through your ideas for readings, poems and any cultural or symbolic elements - for more details on symbolic elements click here . We can talk through any ideas on a theme, be it costumes, specific wording, or just whether I think a cheese cake is better than an actual cake (have both)
I will then create a ceremony that has you at the heart of it, which you then check and make as many amendments as you like.
Together we talk through music, readings, people you want to involve and how we can make it the day of your dreams.
If required and the venue permits we will hold a rehearsal the day before so we can make sure everything is perfect.
On the day I will arrive early to help ensure everything is ready, and speak to everyone involved in the ceremony, and introduce myself as your celebrant. At the end if you wish to, there will be a symbolic signing of a fully bespoke certificate.
With only one ceremony a day, I won't be rushing you, or making you stick to any time pressures. You are my only priority that day. **
